I know there is no longer a Jax & Skye pairing, nor is there likely to be one in the future, which is probably why I haven't updated this webpage since Jax turned into a jerk. But, when I first made this website I was listening to a lot of Fiona Apple, more specifically 'Never Is A Promise'. I've been listening to this song again lately, and every time I do I remember how much I loved these two together. I have never been so excited about having two people together on a show before, and that's saying a lot because I watch a lot of television. Maybe it's because Skye was the damaged needy 'maiden' and Jax was her Knight in Shining Armor, but I don't think so because, I mean, that's been done before. I think it was just this perfect situation where there was very scared and guarded girl who, although independent, was looking for something or someone. Then came along the "white knight" who was able to slowly break down this wall of defenses she had put up. This was such a strong relationship, and the writers established it wonderfully, which is probably why it was so incredibly unrealistic when Jax turned jerk on her. All of a sudden this man had nothing but contempt for this woman he married and claimed to love more than life itself. Yes I do realize this is a soap opera, but there should remain the element of realisticness. These two were so great together and I just love remembering how they were. So instead of focusing on how the stupidly the writers wrote off their foundation, I am going to focus on how they were when they were together. Almost as though time stopped when they got married. More like a movie I guess, where that is the ending and they just lived happily ever after.
